From the top of the hill to the top of the Tower..
Re Saturday's Blip............
I thought I would treat myself and hopefully you with a shot from the top of the Spinnaker Tower, of which I took a shot of on my Saturday's blip.
I took quite a few and this one was the best out of the bunch as I can explain a little of what's been captured and to make it somewhat more interesting for you.
In the far back ground showing the white line of chalk, ie: Portsdown Hill from where I took Saturdays blip. From East ( Fareham) to the West (Havant) is about 3-4 miles.
Portsdown Hill to the Tower by road is approximately 6 miles.
To the very Left background is Fareham Creek and edging on to it there is a 27 hole Golf Course, which is not quite visible.
View the middle of the shot you will see all the naval ships and dockyards. In the middle you will see a black coloured egg shaped building which is the new Mary Rose Museum, which I must get round to visiting sometime!!
In the foreground you will see HMS Warrior and to the right of that is the Portsmouth Hard. just below me but out of sight is the Portsmouth Railway station. You will also notice the shadow of the Spinnaker Tower being cast over the HMS Warrior.
Although I took quite a few shots, it was difficult getting a shot without the reflections off the glass in very bright sunshine. It was warm up there.
Above the area I was in there is a café and above that there is an open area( well protected) which I did not go up to.
The floor I was on is 300 metres up. The views are spectacular.
Please enjoy.
