Double Bride

Today was the rehearsal for the wedding tomorrow. My niece and her soon to be husband look genuinely happy and in love despite the whirlwind romance. The rehearsal was also a means for me to rehearse my role as the official (free) photographer.

My camera was set on slow synch and my niece moved her head after the flash fired but before the shutter closed. The only photoshop manipulation was cropping. I don't think I could replicate this shot in 100 deliberate attempts.

Tomorrow's the big show.

If any are wondering if this image violates my moratorium on publishing personal family portraits on the internet, don't worry. My niece is not shy about her personal presence in cyberspace. She is an avid MySpace participant to include bikini shots (no I won't link them).
