Escaped the shoot.

There are still quite large numbers of Pheasants about the village which have escaped the shooting season so far; sometimes the odd one will appear in the garden. These were feeding quietly and did not hear me approach. I must admit that I was thinking more of Game Pies and Normandy Pheasant rather than the technical aspects of the photograph at the time.
