Pilot Us

A fine day again with a few scattered showers but wonderful light at times and clear skies tonight.

Starting to get ready for Up Helly Aa at work with various school visits coming up and childrens workshops. Not long now until the big day and the first Up Helly Aa starts tomorrow with the Scalloway Fire Festival.
Well I've been in and out of the house all night checking if the Northern Lights are out and nothing yet! I'll keep on checking throughout the night too. With the lovely clear sky, it would make a great night for them. Fingers are crossed :)

I was hoping today's photo would be the Northern Light but here's a photo of the Pilot Us in Hay's Dock at the Shetland Museum instead taken this afternoon. Glad the lighter nights are on the return, even if it is slow :)
