Lemmi

Thanks for entering into the spirit of competition yesterday. I'm delighted to say that the winner was Talpa, who was the first to directly identify the sport as Crown Green Bowling. His journal, Life in Newburgh on Ythan, is a something of a hidden gem on this site and I can highly recommend a visit. Sueslife's wild guess was right on the money but the wrong variant of the sport. Sorry to be so picky!

I'm still struggling for time. These first few weeks of the year are going to be very stressful. Two key members of our small team are over in Holland doing training this week, and next week too, so the rest of us are rather stretched right now. We're all feeling the strain a bit.

I bumped into Lemmi here on Market Square and got chatting. He acquired his name as a homage to Lemmy of Hawkwind and Motorhead fame. This Lemmi has his own rock band. Well, of course he does. Bit of a dead ringer really.
