catching rays...

...and a bit of a breeze, too.
The morning light was gloriously pink today, and everything from pine cones to magpie bellies was reflecting it.
I even took a shot of the morning traffic downtown because the red tail lights looked like a string of shining rubies, but in the end I liked this ruffled magpie the best.
