Bear Creek Nature Center

Nothing but flickers today on my back porch, and even on my morning walk. So hubby and I made a special trip to the Bear Creek Nature Center this afternoon to see what we could find.
Not one minute after getting out of the car we saw three Steller's Jays chasing each other through the trees. They are quite noisy, but the flash of blue feathers is stunning. Unfortunately I did not get a good shot of one in flight, but you can see the various shades of blue here. And don't you just love that white eyebrow??
