This very bold chap was outside our apartment very early this morning with his distinctive raucous call. He sounded pretty upset and kept up his strident squawking for over 45 minutes. I have no idea why he seemed so frantic. Cockatoos often have a look-out who warns of imminent danger but I couldn't see any cats or anything would cause him to be so agitated. Maybe he just got out the nest the wrong side this morning. I stayed outside trying to get a shot of his raised crest but he was just too quick for me!
