as in the perfume - the perfume bottle here - an old one at that - and then i wondered - what exactly is ylang ylang anyway... this is what i found:

ylang ylang is the name given to both a tree - (cananga odorata) and its flower - the essential oil extracted by steam distillation from the fragrant ylang ylang flower - is used extensively in perfumery - generally as a heart or middle note - good to know... additionally - ylang ylang oil is beautifully fragrant - with a heavy, sweet, slightly fruity floral scent

i also discovered it was used - i'm assuming still is - in the perfume chanel no. 5 - which happened to be one my grandmother enjoyed wearing - go figure i end up with an old perfume bottle in my collection - which includes a perfume of hers - sometimes it's all about a memory - and that's enough to make for...
