The Future

"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4

This picture is another scene from Iceland, where I am at the moment This is a cemetery with a big lit up cross for all to see. The people of Iceland use lit crosses at this time of year on the graves to brighten things up. We have seen cemetery's with coloured lights. But this one has a very big cross.

As I am sure you know, Jesus died on a cross, for our sins, so that one day the above can happen. We can go to heaven and be in the presence of God where there will be no more pain or suffering. No more tears or mourning, as the verse says because the former things have passed away. This life is temporary, and while like everyone I want to live the best life I can that is honouring and pleasing to God, I look forward to a time when these things will be no more...
