Learning day by day

Footballer!

William's turn to do something new today. He had a football class with Dennis Longhorn. William has never had anyone show him how to play football and he loved it. He listened when he was told to and tried everything. Two things made me laugh: a)his declaration that he didn't like it when the ball was thrown at his head, b) watching him pick up the ball and walk to a space when they were told to take the ball to the biggest space possible. He completely missed the idea that he was supposed to dribble the ball into a space!

Back home for lunch and pack up the house. We would normally stay for the Monday too, but the inset day that we had scheduled when we booked is no longer happening so we area all back at school tomorrow.

Once packed up, we all headed back to the pool and yes you guessed it more rapids. We had tea at the pool, which was actually quite nice, swam the rapids in the dark, much to the kids glee and then sadly had to shower, pack up the car and head home. A lovely few days. William spontaneously thanked me for bringing them to Center Parcs for my birthday, while we were eating tea and Carys also said similar at a later point. I also heard couple in the rapids saying what a nice polite little girl she was, after she apologised to them for bumping into them. Always nice to hear.

Bye, bye Center Parcs, see you soon.
