Morris and Molly

We have had some internet problems here…We had to get the modem/router replaced a few days ago. Then Keith’s iPhone and iPad mini would not recognise the house Wi-Fi. Anyone would have thought he had a leg/arm cut off. He LOVES using those devices to surf the net. He is the original Silver Surfer. It is now all sorted after much angst.
Fergus caused me considerable angst whilst out on our walk this morning.
When we got home I told Keith “You are not feeding Fergus enough.”
He said “Why?”
I replied “He caught, killed and ate a half-grown possum during our walk!”
I must say that one less possum in the environment is a good thing as possums are a terrible pest here in New Zealand. There are millions of them in the wild. They decimate native forests and carry diseases such as tuberculosis which are a threat to livestock.
Our Maine Coon cats love our garden. They spend hours out there during the day and often come indoors with half the garden in the form of dried leaves in their coats. They climb all over our roof and sit on boundary fences pulling faces at the starlings that nest nearby. Here we have Morris sitting behind Molly on the old trailer under our apricot tree.
