Grebe on the lake in Mote Park

Keep intending to blip a shot of the Medway floods but get distracted by other images. Had an interesting shot of floodwater being swirled around taking with it an empty tin of sweetcorn, but liked this one better.

We set out early for a walk, seeing as the weather was meant to be good. Went through Mote Park on our way to the town centre to look at the Medway. It was high and rising, but not as high as a day or two before. Then went to M and S to exchange a hat that was, believe it or not, too big for me.

I wondered why Susan didn't mind another trip into town - the reason became obvious, while we were in she suggested a visit to various shops to have a look at what was about. So there you have it, it was gone 3.00pm when we got home, well past lunchtime. We then had to take all the Christmas decorations down and pack away in the loft - a task made a bit more interesting by a power cut of over an hour. Good job I'd bought that head torch earlier in town!

The evening was spent at Doreen's, mostly setting up her two phones - a new mobile and a new set of house phones. All good fun.
