Another sodden day

It rained and it rained and it rained and when you thought it couldn't rain any more it just carried on raining. Sometimes torrential, mostly monsoonal but nothing less than rain.

Went to the pool to get wetter but it was closed owing to a "chemical imbalance" I think this means somebody did a number 1 or 2 in the water. Decided against going to the municipal pool so went home and got the dinner ready for tonight.

As the rain was on the dry side of torrential we donned the we weather gear and went out for a walk in the gathering gloom - only half past 3 in the afternoon. Called in at Doreen's to deliver her paper which is where I used the gorilla tripod for the first time to get this shot. Wet roads and welcoming lights.

Part of the road around Water Lane was flooded. You can tell how it got its name. Developers want to build on and around this patch of boggy ground hereabouts. Not a good idea I think.
