Rat Training
Perseus the energetic. Perseus the hateful. Perseus the snake biter.
Perseus is our little boy rat that didn't get eaten. You know what happens to rats that don't get eaten in our house? They turn into pets. He's a little nervous, not very trust-worthy yet, but here we are trying to ease his little rattie scaredy rat tendencies by bribing him into liking us with some sweetened peanut butter. It has powdered sugar in it to take away the stickiness so that it can't get stuck in his throat like normal peanut butter can. Also, it's just a treat. We don't feed our rats typically with this stuff. They typically eat Katee or Mazuri rat feed with vegetables and fruit. They're spoiled.
We hope Perseus becomes a little bit more friendly and pet-like soon. This is Jason's deal mostly, he even named the little guy. I have my three rat girls who are the friendliest things ever. :)
Day was easy-going. We did a lot of decluttering today. House looks great. Also, we did not find that little doggie girl. I hope we find her soon so we can find a good home for her.
