The other side

We went to the other side of Baggy Point - the headland that's often in my photos - and went to Croyde* for our walk today.
The dunes had been eaten away by the last 2 days' crazy weather and big tides, and there was loads of crap on the sand. Far too much plastic too.

In between the crazy stuff there have been moments of peace and sunshine, but it's all a bit weird and slightly eerie because everything looks different.

Today was also about washing (isn't it always?) and taking down the Christmas decorations, and ermm... being tired.
I had insomnia like you wouldn't believe last night and am very cross about the whole thing today. I've been clumsy, forgetful, slow, and... and... forgot what I was saying...

But, I'm not going to bother with any of that insomnia nonsense tonight and am going to sleep for 8 hours non-stop.
Yes siree-Bob.
Yes I am.
You just watch me.

Well, no. Don't watch me. That would be weird.

*Croyde's a lovely beach - the light's probably better than Putsborough at this time of year, but I feel it's been ruined and overdeveloped and being there always makes me a bit sad. We lived there for years and our shop is there but I don't feel at home there anymore. At least it was quiet-ish today.
