KELP STALKS
I rose in the dark
and drove through the Glen
Thick with frost and sparkling with salt.
I parked at Portknockie and walked the cliff top path
to the cove as the sky paled.
The tide was out and the sea was flat calm
mirroring the gold that crept under the cloud.
Where did all the weather go?
I took some picture then went for a walk
and came back two hours later when the tide was rushing in
to try and get a bit of drama.
I ended up lying on the beach it shelves so steeply.
I was expecting crashing breakers.
Put some other shots in my folio
far too many to process them all tonight.
