The Hunting Lodge...

Went to Hamilton this afternoon to get a picture framed, and stopped by Chatelherault on the way home. This shot was taken around 3.45 in the afternoon when the light was starting to go.
Chatelherault was open this afternoon, and is a lovely place to wander around. The ornate plasterwork inside is beautiful, all based on a hunting theme and on abundance. Images of flowers, fruit and the prizes of the hunt abound, and in the Banqueting Hall there is a beautiful ceiling panel depicting the story of Ariadne.
The building is free to access and the person in charge was very knowledgeable and keen to explain what everything meant.
It was hard to know what shot to use today, but hope you like this one...
