High Tide in the Ferry
After a day morning and part of the afternoon stuck inside catching up on a few bits and pieces, it was time to get outside and get a bit of fresh air..
Mrs R was heading out for coffee and "Mr Grumpy" was heading off to a friends to celebrate her birthday, so I managed to persuade J and his pal to go for a walk down to the sea front.
As usual there were moans of "Do I have too.." (from J only) and as usual once we were out the house and walking down the road, all was fine (not sure if it was the promise of ice cream and something to drink at The Rail Bridge that did the trick.
Once we were down at the front, I remembered that an unusual high tide was due around 4 this afternoon, so once we were fed and watered, we crossed the road and headed to the harbour.
There was no wind and therefore no waves which probably was just as well because as you can see the water was really high.....great fun was had by all...but we could have got a real soaking which would have been an entirely different matter indeed!!
