African Hoopoe

I was delighted to discover that this lovely bird has made a nest in my garden - I haven't seen one for a long time. He doesn't stay still for long as he looks for worms, and this is the best I could get today. Hopefully I'll get better shots, maybe of the babies too. I just hope a snake doesn't raid the nest as it's in an easily accessible place.
Our hot weather continues. The floods in the UK are distressing - I do hope all my blipmates are safe. My thoughts are with the folk who have suffered losses.
