The colors of fall

Today was a weird weather day. In the morning it was bright and sunny and then it poured rain. Then it was sunny and it rained again. The whole thing was very schizophrenic and unfortunately I was unable to blip during my usual blip window.

I decided to take a slight detour on the way home and this fence and tree caught my eye as I drove by. It was so compelling that I turned around and double parked to capture the image. It was late in the day and the sun was low in the sky and so the lighting conditions were a bit tough. I decided to take an HDR shot because otherwise, I could not expose properly for both the sky and the trees.

I am debating whether to enter this in my autumn challenge. I have tried to stay away from the typical foliage shots like this, but I do like the shot and submit it anyway.
