Sea Power

A big storm combined with a very high tide this morning wrecked havoc on the coast road from Brahalish Cross to Ahakista! This road is only just above sea level, the sea wall was broken in numerous places and huge lumps of concrete lifted by the waves were strewn all over the road along with pieces of tarmac leaving huge holes in the road itself. As you can imagine it was a scary drive but I decided to risk it for a few photographs, I hasten to add the tide was low when I was there!! It certainly makes you aware of the power of the sea, according to a couple of locals it was the worst storm damage in forty years!
