Storm tide
There's no let up on the storm front and at one point last night, as we were drifting off to sleep, the rain sounded as though it was going to break through the roof, aided by the wind.
Took a quick trip down to the seafront today to see the force of the waves, and what was once the car park, is now half beach and half small lake. Not a place you want to park your car at hide tide. Some of the stones were more like small boulders.
An elderly couple, who have lived here all their lives, told dazpostie this morning they haven't seen weather of this ferocity previously, and this morning the sea had engulfed the entire beach. There is still more to come!
One must always be prepared for riotous and endless waves of transformation.
