Sensory World

God love my son! Had to take him to work today as due to continuing dreadful weather and flooding, we were unable to get him to his Grandma's. He was so good and patient, happily playing, painting, drawing and reading for most of the day.

We took a break in the sensory garden to burn off a bit of energy and get some fresh air. The garden is filled with wind chimes, coloured net tents to run in and out of, water tables, scented plants, bug dens and tree trunk obstacle courses.

There's also 2 strange little hideouts, one of which I caught Jai in. Reminded me of the teletubbies home (toddler tv, for those who've never had to endure British children's TV - thankfully we don't have the TV on much in our house. Jai finds it boring which I'm so grateful for). The shelter came in handy as it decided to chuck it down, yet again!!!

Once the shower had passed, we picked some Radishes in the veg patch, and some Parsley and Rosemary as they smelt so good according to Jai.

Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers, but to be fearless in facing them.

Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain, but for the heart to conquer it.”
