It really is nice in Nice

We spent the day exploring Nice further. We started off with a walk through the old town and up to the Castle hill. We weren't sure how the kids would cope with the walk up the hill but they didn't really realise that they were walking up hill as we walked through little alleyways and up shallow steps and played hide and seek on the way so we were at the top before they realised and were rewarded with another great playground while we were rewarded with fabulous views as it was another beautiful day.
After much playing (Olivia made a new friend) and much camera snapping we caught the lift down the hill and went and had a play on the pebble beach and watched some brave souls having a swim. Olivia collected 11 pebbles which she is absolutely insisting on bringing back home!
We wondered back through the old town stopping off for a snack and then headed back to the area where the Christmas markets were being held and treat the kids to child Paradise where they had unlimited access to bouncy castles, trampolines, and a fun house. They were sweating by the time we left! On the way back to the apartment the water jets had started in La Promenade du Paillon and the kids were begging if they could run through them. At first they started off really gently with only a few jets and loads of people were walking through them and then all of a sudden they all started - it was hilarious watching people trying to run away from the water without getting wet...and yes my kids are in there somewhere!
