Journey Through Time

By Sue

We are happy, happy!

A breeze showed up, the fog went away, there was a bit of blue sky, yay! I put out some leftover nuts and the Stellar's Jays took advantage of the situation.

Other than that....a quiet day. I am working on a genealogy project for a lady and I'm knee deep in Texas and Tennessee information. It's been rather interesting, actually.

Off to ponder dinner.

See ya later.

The Steller's Jay (Cyanocitta stelleri) is a jay native to western North America, closely related to the Blue Jay found in the rest of the continent, but with a black head and upper body. It is also known as the Long-crested Jay, Mountain Jay, and Pine Jay. It is the only crested jay west of the Rocky Mountains. This bird is named after the German naturalist Georg Wilhelm Steller, the first European to record them in 1741/i] (And now we know....)
