Journey Through Time

Golden Crowned Sparrow (Zonotrichia Atricapilla)

I went to WinCo today for groceries so that means a quick trip to the Wildlife Garden only a few miles away from the store. I am going to post this little golden crowned sparrow since I made a special trip to try to get a photo...well, then..I'm gonna use a photo from there. There was a bit of left over snow still lingering in the shadows and I am happy it showed up a bit in the photo. I loved how this bird was on that little branch. These birds are just one of the winter ground feeding birds that hang around this time of year.

It was cold last night and everything was frozen and frosted this morning. But the sky was sooooo blue and it was a gorgeous winter's day. I wish we could have gone somewhere pretty...but we didn't.

Hope all is well in your garden, my friends. See ya later.

Edit: It's so beautiful outside I thought of this song. Too bad I don't have a scenic view to go with these lyrics.

On a clear day
Rise and 1ook around you
And you'll see who you are
On a clear day
How it will astound you
That the glow of your being
Outshines every star
You'll feel part of every mountain sea and shore
You can hear
From far and near
A word you've never, never heard before...
And on a clear day...On a clear day...
You can see forever...
And ever...
And ever...
And ever more. . .
