2014 begins....

... with the return of not one but two Woodpeckers in the garden!

Well it didn't really begin with Woodpeckers, it began with great company at the Oban Street Party. It was a beautiful dry night, everyone was on great form, we had great fun and the music was excellent.

It was much later in the day that I spotted the Woodpeckers. Found some energy and went for a walk too. Spotted between 20 and 30 Curlews all together feeding in a field out the Bonawe road. Usually I just see them on their own feeding along the shoreline so it was amazing to see so many together. They were a bit far away to get any great shots but I took some anyway.
