Can you see what I saw?
...... it is not easy I admit, but I have never captured a Sparrowhawk before, it was so quick, landing behind long grass on a tree below me and although it is not great it just had to be my blip of the day!!
I was enjoying the sunshine and following a lot of little Siskins that were flitting from tree to tree ahead of me. Quite a number of them came down on to the path feeding and chirping away happily. Suddenly from nowhere this Sparrowhawk landed on a tree below me and all the birds had gone!
It is funny because on the way up the hill I was wishing for something special on the last day of the year and my wish came true.
The morning had been so busy as has every day, with work, throughout the festive season and I, to be honest, had had enough. We headed out to stretch our legs and catch the last of the sunshine before it disappeared.
It is back to rain now but if the forecast is correct it should dry up again in time for the bells.
Have to go and get all the beds changed now as is tradition in my house. Can't possibly go into a New Year without coming back to a newly made up bed.
Hope you all have a wonderful New Year, look forward to seeing all your pics in 2014!
