Holiday Bounce

Now it is time to take down the Christmas decorations. My wife called a service to take down this wreath above the door. Last year, I was reaching for the hook that holds it at the top of the peak, when the bottom of the ladder slipped forward on the ice. The ladder slowly slid down the yellow siding until it reached the opening above the stairs, and then...BAM... a 12-feet drop.

I stayed with the ladder and fell straight down onto the concrete stairs, just opposite where Scout & Angus are. Then, I bounced up 2 feet and fell on my right shoulder. I couldn't move my arm for 45-minutes, but I was OK. I count my blessings. Someone was watching over me.
