With a crisp blanket of new snow, the new year brings with it a powerful sense of regeneration. We are turning a new page. It's blank and fresh white.

All of nature, dormant now under the cover of snow, is preparing for a re-emergence that's spectacular when it comes. Meanwhile, the newness we ourselves hope for is something that is ours to construct day by day. As we celebrate the ritual of turning a new calendar page we need to remember the ritual lies within us, in the aspiration to live up to our highest hopes.
