Tiny Bubbles
I meant to take a blip-hunt walk in Fairhaven this afternoon, but the candied grapefruit peel I was making took much longer than I'd expected. It wasn't very photogenic, but fortunately, I'd taken a few photos in the back yard earlier.
What I really wanted was a shot like this brilliant one that Mollyblobs posted today, but I have neither the equipment nor the expertise to take such a photo. I'm very grateful to those who do, as it enables me to see the tiny worlds I love!
I also enjoy seeing the real world through others' eyes, both here on Blipfoto and on other blogs and websites, including those I learn about here. For example, Ceridwen had a fascinating journal entry a few months ago about a young woman, Hannah Engelkamp, walking around the perimeter of Wales -- 1000 miles -- with a donkey named Chico.
The six-month trip began and ended in Aberystwyth, where Hannah grew up -- and where I lived for more than a year in the early 1970s, and remember that time with great fondness. So I signed up for Hannah's online newsletter, vicariously enjoyed her travels -- and today became one of nearly 200 backers for her Kickstarter campaign, which runs until January 29, to raise funds so she can write a book and put together a film about her "audacious adventure."
If you have 3 minutes and 35 seconds to spare, do take a look at Hannah's brief film on her Kickstarter site (click on the icon at the top left of her website) -- it's delightful, witty, offers views all around Wales, and will make you smile!
