Rushing waters...

Went for a nice brisk walk today and caught this shot of the normally gentle Powmillon Burn, which runs through Strathaven Park....
Pity they don't hold the duck race ( a fundraising event held in June involving the release of plastic ducks onto the burn - various prizes for the fastest, booby prize for the slowest) in winter rather than during the meagre waters of summer - it would be so much more exciting!
Later in the afternoon we had the family - our two lovely sons and my mother - round for the traditional dinner of steak pie. A very happy and relaxed day.
