Winter flowering Clematis Cirrhosa

Another horrible wet and constantly windy day, made worse by the fact that my Daughter and Son in law's beloved cat Darlek collapsed with kidney failure, and had to be put to sleep. :-( not the best start to 2014!
Today's blip is our winter flowering Clematis Cirrhosa that scrambles up the south east wall of our house in an untidy and unruly fashion.
Clematis cirrhosa is one of the evergreen clematis that flowers through the winter months, which is always a bonus. Given a sunny position this fully hardy variety will flower well, and the pretty, green bell like flowers attract early bumble bees on mild winter days...all in all a great addition to any garden.
RIP Darlek you were one of the best cats, a very much loved moggy xxxx
