Eye contact

The connection between my 92 year old mother and our grandson C is unmistakable.
She adores him and he is able to lift her mood like nothing else.
It has been a bit of a rollercoaster recently-with Mum being cross and unco-operative one day then perfectly fine the next. She is finding the move difficult to adjust to and doesn't really know where she is or why all her things are here.
Today she was much better and loved M and C visiting-even joining us for dinner.

Our good friends T and J are here for New Year so there has been a lot of activity which seems to be good for her.

J and I are shattered having unpacked about 40 boxes and made the house ready for guests, which we love.
This is proving to be a great house for singing/dancing/entertaining/having family over and generally having fun-tonight our son S and I stood side by side at the big island table in the kitchen preparing dinner-such fun!!
J has been fantastic (but then he is!) and we are blessed indeed to have such a lovely house and such good friends and family to share it with.

Here's to a good blipping year for all you blippers out there-our daughter S in New Zealand (Wanderscot) has challenged me to the challenge and this year I will try to take and publish a photo everyday since I don't have a house to build (what will I do with all that time?)
