A New Year by the Sea
7.2C with some early brightness then clouding over and rain through the afternoon and becoming windy.
Apothecary7, Maeve the Deerhound and I would like to wish you all a Very Happy New Year :-)
We set off for a walk before lunch today because Apothecary7 had to be the rota/duty Pharmacist for Arbroath today and have the shop open from 2 to 3 pm.
We walked our most frequently taken route by the church and down the bridle path and over the level crossing to the beach. The tide was well in but there was enough sand to walk along. We got the best of the weather with some brightness, especially when we were on the beach where Maeve met a small 6 month old terrier who was very determined to make new friends.
There were some other people on the beach near the car park at Westhaven, all enjoying a fresh walk by the sea on the first day of the New Year. I chose to post this shot of the empty beach in the direction of Easthaven as it is the part that Maeve and I most often walk along whether we are just wandering or perhaps doing a little beachcombing.
