Travels

Last Christmas our two girls gave us this picture that is now on our wall. They chose all the places that they thought we liked best in the world and had the poster printed and framed. One of the reasons I really like it is because it makes me think of the four of them (two daughters and two sons-in-law) getting together and thinking about all the places we had been to and liked. Apparently there were a few last minute adjustments to the list!

Today, when the weather is so awful that I have not even stepped outside the house, it makes me think of sunnier climes and times of year. Also, on the first day of a new year, when we look ahead to what travels we hope to do in the next 12 months (and I am negotiating our year’s travel insurance), it is an appropriate blip. We may make it to a few of those places this year. In fact it is the Garden Route we are heading for at the end of the month.
