Full of promise.....

My beautiful little orchid has delighted and thrilled me again! Over the holiday I noticed tiny buds appearing on a new stalk and think I am on the road to a successful flowering for the second year running! Just fantastic!

And so on New Year's Eve this speaks of so much...of thanks for the past year...for health and my new job, of hopes for the future, acknowledging that not all is within my reach, of the love, support and nurturing I receive from friends and family and of faith that assures me I am in good hands.

Tonight we will be following a long time tradition of an evening with friends, of an excellent meal and seeing the new year in in their home overlooking London and enjoying the fireworks without the crowds. And I shall be thinking of special friends that I cannot be with and sending love and best wishes to them for the coming year.
