"home for Christmas"

Remember those helium balloons I mentioned from the work Christmas party that had the sweets as a weight? - here are said sweets! And they were of great company to me for the trip home and the pre-Christmas travel chaos.

Travel chaos....what chaos?! I arrived at the airport the full 2hrs before my flight, knowing from my mistake last year that the airport would be really busy and people would be queued for check in all the way into arrivals! This year - no queue!! ??!! Security - no queue, departure lounge - quietest I've seen it in ages! Where was everybody?!!

It was almost too quiet for the Saturday before Christmas, but that being said it made the travelling home for Christmas experience a little bit more enjoyable...

And once on the other side, as he has done since 2008, dad drove me home for Christmas!!

It's good to be home! :)
