Pretty Lights - An Empty Station

A trip to Takayama City which is about 2 hours or so by bus from Nagoya. This area is famous for many things, but most importantly Hida Beef. It's great stuff. This is my second time here but I didn't get to eat it due to time constraints. Nonetheless there are plenty of shops around here selling kushi katsu (meat on a stick), niku man (meat buns) and a whole bunch of other things worth having. I really do recommend eating Hida Beef, depending on the place you eat, it's so wonderful. There are many onsens in the area also, as well as museums about the local culture. This area of Japan is so fascinating for me, it's close to Fukui, Tojimbo, Nagano and Matsumoto. Gorgeous stuff.
