Christmas books

The fantastic selection of books to read that I was given for Christmas - from daughter, son & sister !

I'm sorely tempted to desert John Irvings 'A prayer for Owen Meaney' with which I am struggling. The book group assure me that its worth persevering, but I am, I fear, fighting a loosing battle ! Especially when I have Kate Atkinson just sitting there waiting, along with Alice Munro.

Its been a foul wet & windy day here - did ironing, and cleaned floors of visitors and Christmas muck.. but failed to go to gym or not eat the remaining chocolates !
