Sewing

We had a Home Ed meet this morning. It was difficult getting out of the house and Chickpea said, "I don't like groups, I only like statues!" That didn't make a lot of sense until she explained that she liked playing musical statues at the Christmas party. She does really enjoy the groups, though. I rarely see her as she's off playing with friends or doing a craft or exploring something or other. Today, Lianne brought her sewing machine and Chickpea really enjoyed making a little bag. She even put the pedal up on a box so Chickpea could control it herself. Genius! The kids also made little structures out of playdough and dry spaghetti (which Monkey really liked as it involved poking holes in dough which is always a favourite) and HAMA bead pictures.

In the afternoon we started reading "A Snowy Day" and we made some tissue paper art as the artist used a similar technique for the book.
