'The Sunflower Fund'

'Bone marrow stem cell donors save lives' was the theme of the day!

Various Harley Davidson Motorcycle Clubs met up at a certain point this morning and rode together to the Xanadu X-ing Shopping Centre a few km's from our house.

They invited any other bikers, not riding Harleys, to join them today. All the proceeds for the day was donated to 'The Sunflower Fund' which is a fund for Leukaemia sufferers! This seems to be an annual thing, and since we've only moved here in April, we only found out about it recently.

C&R snr joined them on the tarred parking area of the Shopping Centre in Xanadu, which is a very posh suburb of Hartbeespoort.

They had all sorts of entertainment organised, singers, dancers, a young lady on stilts, lots of stalls where you could buy all sorts of novelties and the usual 'Braai' or BBQ stalls where you could buy food!

There were the most amazing bikes! One had a silver skull mounted on the front end of the bike, the eyes and mouth had lights in, which serves as headlights, another one has a whole skeleton forming the body of the bike! There were great Three wheelers (Motor Trikes), others are heavily chromed! Quite spectacular! I think there were about 100 Harleys, and only a few other brands!
