Porty People and Places

Suspended between Christmas and New Year there are these fag end days of the year that seem to fall into a No Year's Land. The Edinburgh Hogmanay preparations are in full swing. The lucky street furniture that has been zip tagged with big yellow signs warning of their removal today will not be buckled by the partying masses nor buckle them if they are unlucky enough to be squished into them. Out of the city the sea is bluer than blue. The bracing walk along the banks of the fast flowing Esk with our younger son has been a perfect holiday treat.
