A day on the slopes

A glorious sunny day on the slopes of Mt Charleston, just a forty minute drive away from the house yet 11,000' high. My son took the two eldest boys onto the snow for their first lesson and by the end of the day he said they were progressing really well. My daughter-in-law and I looked after the youngest while the others were skiing and tried to make a snowman but the snow was so dry and powdery it simply wouldn't hold together ..... So we made snow showers instead. Thankfully the sun and a clear blue sky meant that it was a really warm day so there were no cold feet or hands to spoil the fun. At the end of the day mugs of hot chocolate topped up the energy reserves until we were back home for supper.
