Tyzack's Dam

Just a quick snapshot today. I've been out to look at carpets today in readiness for decorating the front room. On the way back I thought I'd call in at this site to see if there were any goosanders or mandarin ducks around. I didn't see any mandarin ducks today, and the goosanders were snoozing alongside the island, almost out of sight. This dam provides the water power for one of Sheffield's industrial museums - Abbeydale Industral Hamlet, the rooftops of which you can see beyond the dam. It's been a pleasant mild day today, so it was nice to be out and about.
