City lights

My son helped me with the shot as I could not take it, driving the car in the middle of Hämeenkatu, Tampere. We were on our way back home from the railway station to take his friend into the train back home. Nice to see these yougsters visiting once and a while - even as they have moved to another city.

These light decorations (Bears, horses, flowers, snow flakes etc) have been hanging above the streets every christmas time since 1968. However during next few years Tampere city will change these beautiful light decorations into something else. Some kind of lights that will lighten up walls of the buildings. I (of course) do not like the idea at all. For me these old ones (newest them are led-lights) are still beautiful and cosy.

Nice day. Visit to orthopedist at the morning and did also some shopping. As we had R here, this friend of kids, I baked a blueberry pie and a cake and made also a potato gratin with smoked salmon. And we had a good family dinner, R with us. After that all I really had to rest the knee... Nice to take it easy now, after a good dinner! Will not do anything else today!
