Hairy Woodpecker

I apologize. I identified my Dec. 15 entry Downy Woodpecker as a Hairy. They look very similar but the Downy is much smaller. I will be more careful on my bird identification in the future!
I was so distracted I forgot to blip yesterday. Cleaned house, made popovers, wrapping presents and generally busy getting ready for company. Friends Gail and Bruce, and my nephew, Curtis, were our guests for Christmas dinner. Monte made a prime rib and we also had, mashed potatoes, wild rice, brussel sprouts, a cranberry horseradish, popovers, three kinds of mushrooms (provided by Bruce and Gail), four wines, and pecan pie. Today was spent cleaning up, getting some exercise, and shopping (Monte got me a gift card to my favorite store TJMaxx). I bought a purse, sweater, and pajamas.
