Father Christmas
My sister made this for me. I love it!
We had a busy day today. Monte's his aunts executor so we had to meet with his advisor about that. I haven't driven by the lake for a few days and it has started to make ice. If the cold temperatures continue, I wouldn't be surprised if it came close to freezing over again. The last time was in the winter of 2002-2003 when it was 90 percent frozen.
We had a gift certificate to the Lake Avenue Cafe so we had lunch there. I was adventurous and tried the pear and prosciutto pizza. It was wonderful. I'd definately order that again. After lunch we stopped at the hospital to visit a friend who is very ill with a serious infection. What a horrible time to be ill and its his birthday too! His poor wife is beside herself as they were having Christmas at their house. A couple of fishing buddies were there so there was quite a discussion on the ice fishing conditions. The ice didn't set well before the snow came so they were complaining about the slushy conditions under the snow.
Back home I made a pecan pie for tomorrow. We had our Christmas Eve dinner at Mary and Kevin's together with her sister Lorri and brother-in-law, Mike. Mary makes the world's best lasagna!
