Cosy Christmas dinner for two
We stayed at home this Christmas as we really enjoyed doing so last year. It was a lovely day again :)
We started the day by opening our presents to each other upstairs, then heading downstairs to open our presents from others. We've been totally spoilt this year and have received some lovely gifts.
I'd bought Chris some pyjamas so he tried those on and kept one pair on for most of the afternoon as they were so comfortable and warm (they're fleecy). We then tidied things away (I don't know what's come over me recently but I've become really tidy!), and played one of our Christmas games, Sort It Out.
Christmas dinner worked well - we both cooked parts of the meal and did our usual roast dinner but with a few extras - bacon rolls, Parma ham wrapped round the mustard-stuffed chicken breasts, and roast potatoes as well as mash. It was so much more enjoyable than last year when we tried lots of M&S accompaniments and were a bit disappointed.
We went for a walk around Perton, admiring (and mocking) Christmas lights, before it got a bit chilly so we headed home for dessert. In the evening we played Little Big Planet 2 which we bought for ourselves to play over Christmas, and Dad popped over for a bit.
We had a really lovely day and so nice to relax at home and spend time with the cats too, who provided us with much entertainment and some lovely cuddles.
